The Teenage Ninja Turtles are four turtles that are trained as ninja warriors. They live in the sewers of New York and fight crime. They are highly skilled martial arts experts. The concept for the Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles was created in 1984 as a comic parody of a 1980′s Marvel X-Men comic that featured teenage mutants.
